As you are able to see that the job of each profession is trading. In Minecraft, the trading system is a gameplay mechanic. It permits you to be able to sell and buy various items to and from villagers by using emeralds as a currency. The trades can be valuable or meaningless. It depends on the cost, the items that you may get and also how you treat the villagers. It is important for you to know that only adult villagers with professions who are able to trade. As a player, you are not able to trade with nitwits, unemployed villagers or baby villagers. Besides trading, some professions such as farmers and librarians, they are able to do other things. Farmers can plant crops and librarians can inspect bookshelves. When the villagers go to work, they will use their daily schedule to be able to get to their claimed job site block.

A job site is able to be claimed only if it is unclaimed and in a village boundary with at least 1 bed. If a claimed job site block is removed, it will cause the owner to switch to another profession or become unemployed.
