If you need a mineshaft finder, you are able to access Chunk Base site that can be accessed at chunkbase.com. When you access Chunk Base site, you will be on the homepage of course. Then, you have to click on the Apps menu at the top of the screen. On the Apps page, you have to scroll down and then in the Overworld section, you will find Mineshaft. Just click on it and then you will be in a Mineshaft Finder.
So, how to use this Mineshaft Finder? You have to choose a seed and version. As you are able to see that on that Mineshaft Finder page, there is a seedbox and a version box. You are able to type it in manually or you are able to load it from your savegame. The latter is able to be done by clicking on “Load From Save…” and choosing your level.dat, or by drag & dropping the level.dat file into the window of your browser. What is level.dat? It is a small file which can be found in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. Savegame can be found in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. On Windows, you are able to use %appdata%\.minecraft\saves to get to that folder.
Levels will permit you to be able to store and reuse seeds on that site without loading your savegame every time. When you load a seed from a level, then the seed will automatically be stored as a level.
If you have entered your seed and version, then you are able to begin to use the map. If you want to scroll, you are able to do that by using your arrow keys while your mouse cursor points at the map. Or, you can move your mouse while you are holding down the left mouse button. You may see that there are the lower inputs. Well, they will permit you to be able to go to a specific point of the map and set a marker there. By double clicking on the map, you are always able to remove and add the marker. How about the Save Map button? This button will permit you to be able to save the currently shown map as a png image file.
If you are using a touch-enabled device, you will see an extra option for enabling/ disabling touchscreen control which will appear below the map. If you enable that option, you are able to drag the map with your finger to be able to navigate. If you want to zoom in and out, you can do it by pinching.
