Do you want to make a project on CurseForge? If so, you will have to register. After you have registered your CurseForge account or logged into an existing account, then you are able to begin the journey of creating your project by going over to the Project Creation page.
You have to choose the game that you want to make a project for and the page will be updated with new fields waiting for your inputs. The fields that you have to fill include name, summary, description, project license, primary category, categories, logo image, localization, and settings.
If you have filled out the form, then you are able to press the Start Project button at the bottom. The next step that you have to do is to click the Manage Project button in the top right corner. It will drop you into the General settings page. It also will permit you to be able to update metadata fields and your logo image. You have to make sure that all the fields are updated properly. If you are happy, you are able to press Save Changes.
There are the remaining tabs on this page which can provide you with more control over certain aspects of your projects like adding or deleting members, adding issues to the issue tracker or directing users to your source code. It is recommended for you to update the info in all tabs before you submit your project for review.
The next thing that you have to do is additional images. However, this step is only needed for texture packs or Minecraft resource packs that provide textures. If it does not describe your project, you are able to skip to the next step. If you want to do this step, then you have to be back on your project dashboard and then you will see an Image button beside the Manage Project button. It will permit you to be able to upload more preview images without embedding them in your main page. You are able to give the images as titles and a description.
In this step, you need to have your previews and settings all in place. But, you need to know that your project is still awaiting moderator approval. The step before your project is submitted to moderators for approval is uploading a file. You are able to do it by navigating to your Project Dashboard. To the right of your project title is a button named File. If you click on it, it will take you to the Files and then if you have uploaded, it will list your project files.
If you have filled out all of the suitable fields, you are able to click on the Submit File. Then, you will be brought to your Files tab and you will be able to see your newly added file. You are able to add more files by following the similar process that you just did above. At this point, your file will be labeled as Under Review and it is off to the moderators to review and approve it as well.
