Minecraft Automatic Diamond Farm for Xbox 360

Posted on

In Minecraft, diamonds can be hard to find, especially in larger quantities. However, there are several tricks that could help you to find them a lot faster. This guide is intended to help those who want to obtain, maintain, and expand their diamond supply. There is no such thing called an automatic diamond farm, let alone the method for Xbox 360. Feel free to check this out.

It is important to know where and how diamond ores are spawned when the world is made. Diamond ore is able to be only found in the bottom 17 layers of the Overworld in small chunks of 1 to 8 ores. However, it is common to find just a single diamond ore, it happens when a cave, dungeons or the other landmark is made over the other diamond ores that were attached to it.

By having that in mind, making efficient mineshafts becomes really easy, though it could take a while before you find diamonds, which is only to be expected of such a rare block.

Digging down

The first thing that you want to do is to dig down to layer 13, you are able to tell you are on layer 13 by pressing F3 in the game. You will be able to see a lot of different information on your HUD, but you want the coordinates in the left top corner. The X one indicates height, so it has to be 13. Aside from that, you could also count upwards from the top layer of bedrock you are able to find, which is layer 4. Layer 13 will be located where you start out the first mineshaft branch. In addition, you are also able to start on layer 14 or 12, it does not matter too much, as you will only dig on 3 different levels.

Creating the mineshafts

In order to start out mineshafts, dig in 1 straight line for as far as you want. Everything depends on how much time you have and on how many pickaxes you have brought with you, not how far you go. Once you have done the main tunnel, dig a small tunnel, about 2 to 3 blocks deep, on every side of the main tunnel. However, do not forget to leave 3 blocks between every tunnel on the same side. Please continue to do this until you have reached the end of the main tunnel again. You need to leave 3 blocks between those new ones, because it allows you to find the most diamonds without wasting too much time.

Extending

Once you have created each tunnel to the sides, it is time to make those longer. You are able to dig as far as you want, it all depends on how much time you have and the amount of pickaxes you have brought. Once you have reached the distance you are satisfied with in the first one, dig to the sides to make sure all the other ones will also end up at the same distance as the first one.
