In Minecraft, Splash potions are a variant of potions and they are able to be thrown. You are able to brew a Splash Potion of Potion (0:45/ 0:33) and add it to your inventory. You are able to throw this potion at a player or mob to give them the Poison effect for 33 seconds or 45 seconds in Minecraft 1.9 and higher. So, it can be used as a great defense in a mob battle.
If you want yo make a Splash Potion of Poison, you have to prepare the materials including:
- 1 Gunpowder
- 1 Potion of Poison (0:45)
How to make this potion? You are able to follow the steps below.
- The first thing that you have to do to craft a Splash Potion is to open your brewing stand. So, you will have the Brewing Stand.
- Now, to activate the brewing stand, you have to add Blaze Powder. You can add it in the far left box.
- In the Brewing Stand menu, you need to put ingredients in the top box and the potions are created in the bottom three boxes. To be able to make a Splash Potion of Poison, you will need 1 Potion of Poison (0:45) and 1 Gunpowder as we mentioned earlier. So, put the Potions of Poison (0:45) in one of the boxes in the Brewing Stand menu and then add the gunpowder to the top box.
- If the brewing process is complete, it will boil and it is signed with a “glug glug glug” sound. In this step, you will see that the gunpowder will disappear. The Splash Potion of Poison (0:45/0:33) now will be finished. It is important for you to know that if you hover over the potion in the Brewing Stand, you will be able to see the name of the potion and its effects.
- Now, a Splash Potion of Poison (0:45/0:33)will be in your bottle and you are able to move it to your inventory.
You are able to try to throw this Splash Potion of Poison at a mob so that you will see that it will poison the mob for 33 seconds or 45 seconds in Minecraft 1.9 and higher.
